JOB TITLE:              Personal Banker      

 

SUPERVISOR:         Office Manager

 

HOURS:                     40 Hours per Week

Monday Friday, 9:00am -5:00pm

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

  • Understand Bank Mission and Brand, organizational structure, employee handbook, bank security, policies and procedures, and standards of conduct.
  • Develop personalized banking relationships by opening a variety of new savings, certificate, checking accounts and IRAs.

  • Determine customer needs, explain various account ownership options, provide counseling necessary to meet stated needs, and obtain required information.
  • Answer questions and solve problems for customers and office staff concerning all services provided by the Bank by: listening to problems, collecting information, securing answers and reporting results to the inquiring party.
  • Follow-up with prospects and current customers by telephone or letter to promote new products and services, logging five customer contacts per week.
  • Referrals and/or cross sales required. Goal established by supervisor.
  • Actively monitor the status of key customer relationships to promote growth and service quality
  • Perform all CSR duties.

MARGINAL JOB DUTIES:

  • Assist in mail processing

  • Notary Public Accreditation

  • Other Duties as assigned

 

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Knowledge of bank products and services required; a background in IRAs is preferred. Strong background in customer service and sales desired. Previous teller experience helpful, but not required.

 

SKILLS

Strong time management and organizational skills, as well as strong written and oral communication skills essential. Ability to think pro-actively regarding customer accounts / service also necessary. Ability to make product referrals required.
